ARES The secret side of me, I never let you see I keep it caged but I can't control it So stay away from me, the beast is ugly I feel the rage and I just can't hold it
To say that he was bored, was a gross understatement. Usually he had things to preoccupy himself with, but as of late things had run a little slow for him. So he turned to the only thing that gave him any real pleasure in the world. Large, strong hooves thudded against the stone ground of the cave at the base of the mountain. Thick tendrils of blazing red fire swirled around his thick legs, melding with his feathers. Long, slender legs carried a thick, muscular frame along as hooves thudded against the harsh earth. A heavy snort passed the brute's nostrils as they flared in anger. His ears were pinned flat against his skull, head lowered as he fumed to himself. The blazing flames that made up a luxurious mane and tail flared brighter than ever, exemplifying the rage.
His hooves drug along the thick stone floor, echoing against the hollowed out walls. Blazing fiery eyes scanned his surroundings, looking for one particular stallion. The fair stallion he was forced to take sides with in this ridiculous war. He could care less for any of the higher Gods; Zeus, Poseidon. All were mere annoyances in his eyes. He had a hard time getting along with anyone aside from his own progeny. Now you would think the god of war, violence, and murder would be out raging havoc on the Earth or even sparring with a few lesser immortals. Though he was in no mood to deal with weaklings. He wanted a real challenge to entertain him. So thus is brought him to the very bane of his existence - Hades.
He curled his ears as the scent of the brute he was searching for reached his senses. He snorted the vile odor out again, wanting rid of it from his memory. He paused at the mouth of the cave, only a few steps in. He raised his head, absently muttering to himself before letting his voice speak out. "HAAAAAADEEEEEES, WHY DON'T YOU COME OUT AND PLAY?" He rough baritone rang out, a glint of amusement present in the depths of the blazing infernos that replaced his eyes. He snorted once again, already impatient. He began to pace left and right, keeping a look out for the nuisance. Scraping a flame enveloped hoof across the cave floor he gave a harsh grunt, restless and ready to tear into the nearest creature any moment. Hades better hurry his prissy ass up and get out here, or his home would be reduced to rubble. Words; 422 Tag; Hades Muse; Decent Lyrics; Monster - Skillet

Hades -> I was dozing peacefully, at least internally, outwardly it would no doubt look like I was surveying my domain which I was in a way. Of course when one ruled over the spirits of those dearly and not dearly departed things never really changed. Sure, there was the occasional one that died too soon for some reason, otherwise things were pretty monotonous. I loved the surface though, the mortals, one never really did know what they'd do. I'd come to learn their games and how they amused me. I guess you could say it was one of my favorite past-times.
-> Now I was being peaceful and minding my own business, only occasionally tilting my head when a particular cascade of smoke fell in an interesting pattern. What? Perhaps I was easily distracted but I needed distractions. And that's when I heard it, someone basically knocking at my front door and summoning me. An easy smirk sliding over my maw as I jumped from my ledge, massive leathery wings unfolding so I could glide down and land safely. I snorted softly, shaking my dial and the smoke stirring a bit before walking forward, furling my wings tightly against my barrel before pausing at the opening.
-> "Why Ares, is that you? What a pleasant surprise! What brings you here? Come in, come in!" I called out rather cheerily even if my voice was deep and raspy. I bit back a laugh, shaking my head and backing up a few steps. I knew better than to place myself in such a compromising position, such as the cramped cave who's gaping maw opened before me. Oh no, in there I'd have no room to move about and dodge and no matter the act I knew what the fiery beast wanted with me and I'd not allow it, simple as that. "You shouldn't be rude Ares! Come, stay awhile, rest those weary hooves!" I snickered a bit, shaking my dial a bit and backing up a few more steps.
-> Was I frightened? Hardly, I was the god of death and I needn't fear it. I knew he hated me, and I could safely say the feeling was mutual. No, this was all just a little game to me and I was merely baiting the beast. Just how badly did he wish to harm me? Would he dare venture into my territory? We would soon find out no doubt.

ARES The secret side of me, I never let you see I keep it caged but I can't control it So stay away from me, the beast is ugly I feel the rage and I just can't hold it
Ares had begun to pace after calling out to the one despised. He was restless and his muscles were in a constant coil, unable to relax until all this tension was taken out on some poor unfortunate soul. Being a God of war came with an insatiable blood lust. He was constantly on the look out for someone to challenge or someone stupid enough to challenge him. His auds curled back at the prospect of finding a worthy challenger. The thought pleased him, drawing a deep warming sensation deep within his chest cavity. Excitement pooled into his chest as his pacing grew faster and he was now trodding heavier than before across the hollow earth. He snorted when that familiar voice called out. He lifted his broad head, turning burning infernos toward the smaller, more leaner stallion. "'Bout time." He grunted, voice rough with aggression. He gave another softer grunt of acknowledgement as he followed his rival into the cave said stallion called home. He glanced around, already knowing every inch since he frequented often. Blazing eyes focused on the one in front of him. He knew the cave wasn't the best place to attack. He had tried once earlier on and realized just how much of a hassle it was to move around. His heavy mass and strong build and Hades' wings. It was much too small and not enough places to chase the thinner equine through. He snorted, smoke flowing from widened nostrils. He stomped his hooves against the earth, trying to will some of the extra energy to leave his body. It irritated him and he wanted to work out this pent up aggression. The idea now would be how to lure the God of death from his home. He would need much more room. "Don't give me that. You know exactly why I'm here, Dumbass!" He growled, irritation causing pain to build in the center of his skull. He needed something to tear into and soon. He began pacing again, a subconscious habit he had developed over the years. "Killkillkillkillkillkillkillkill" He chanted to himself. He was irritable and restless and altogether uncomfortable. This wasn't his element. He belonged on a battlefield not in some cramped cave. He could have gone to the battlefield and picked on some passing fueding stallions, but Hades was more entertaining. The brute was able to match him, which kept him coming back for fight after fight. He heaved a harsh sigh, flames falling from his throat in a puff of orange light and black smoke. Blazing infernos narrowed in rage, gauging his opponents movements. Every cell in his body screamed for him to attack, but he would wait just a bit longer.[/blockquote] Words; 450 Tag; Hades Muse; Decent Lyrics; Monster - Skillet
